Replaces the standard round-head 8-32 inspection plate cover screws with flush flat-head 8-32 screws to reduce aerodynamic drag.
Parts Required
- Flat-head 8-32 screws (length to match standard) - MS24693-C48 (AN507C832R6)
Installation Notes
- Countersink the metal structure above the nut plate to accept the flat-head screw.
- Dimple the inspection plate cover to match.
- This modification is NOT approved by Van's Aircraft. Use at your own risk and consult your DAR or EAA Adviser before including in your build log.
