RV-15 Wing Kit — Important Notification for Builders

Dear RV-15 Builder

Recently we published an update to Kit Assembly Instruction Section 27 (now Revision 3) that corrects an earlier document error relating to certain rivets for this assembly. Previously, the KAI called out a CR3213-4-2 rivet, while the correct rivet is the longer CR3213-4-3.

However, every RV-15 wing kit was delivered with the correct CR3213-4-3 rivets in the boxed hardware sets. Builders who installed the provided rivets need do nothing further; they have the correct rivets for the assembly.

Section 27 in the previous revisions erroneously called out CR3213-4-2 rivets as Item 10. The correct rivet—and the size provided in the kit—is the CR3213-4-3.

WHAT TO DO

If you installed the rivets supplied in the kit: nothing at all. Carry on building!

If you substituted the shorter CR3213-4-2 rivet, you will need to drill these out and install the correct 4-3 rivet.
