RV-15 Tail/Empennage Kit — Important Notification for Builders
Dear RV-15 Builder
Recently, we discovered that a small number (fewer than 24) of the VS-15018-001 rudder stops were incorrectly manufactured. Suspect parts were 0.190 in. thick when the part is intended to be 0.125 in. thick.
The pieces can be identified either by measuring the thickness or, if you haven't removed the sticker, to look for a manufacturing date of 9/23/26.
WHAT TO DO
If your part measures 0.125 in. thick or has a manufacturing date other than 9/23/26—there's nothing to do. You have the correct part, so build on!
If you have the incorrectly produced part, please contact our Customer Service Department or call 503-678-6545 so we can send you the correct part at no charge.
